Off Road Explorer Enews #16
Christmas Edition

Welcome to the Off Road Explorer Enews #16. 2010 has been our most hectic year ever and it doesn't look like the pace is slowing down. We've launched our online store this year in between shooting segments for TRAIL ZONE's 'In The Zone: Episode 4' DVD. It's just hit the newsagent shelves and we are already planning next year's rides.

Our latest ORE/TRAIL ZONE Project Bike has almost come to a close and has been by far our most popular ever. Our Suzuki DR650SE Project Bike has created a heap of interest and we now know why the Doctor is Australia's most popular dual-sports adventure bike. Check out the DR650SE Project Bike updates in issue #31, 32, 33 and 34 (due out mid Feb.) of TRAIL ZONE Magazine.

WISHING YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

If you are joining the ride Getting There from central NSW with Clubby from TRAIL ZONE magazine you'll need extra fuel for the Cameron Corner to Flinders Ranges leg of the journey. AdventureMoto.com.au are offering 4, 8 and 12 litre fuel Bladders at $10 off normal prices. That's 4L - $129, 8L - $159 and 12L - $179.

Steering DampenerThat's not all if you own a 2009-10 XT660Z you can get a new Ralle-Moto Steering Dampener for $745! That's $50 less than their current special.

On the long fast stretches across the desert the Ralle-Moto Steering Dampener can be a real lifesaver on those unexpected washouts.

ORE DR650SE Trailtech Headlight Mount

One of the most successful features on the OffRoadExplorer.com/TRAIL ZONE DR650SE Project Bike has been the Trailtech Headlight/Digital Display mount we designed and that is now being manufactured by B&B Off Road. With a bit more development we are looking to adopted the system to a standard headlight surround for those who only want to install the Trailtech Digital Display. Keep an eye out for details inTRAIL ZONE #34 due out mid February.

Yamaha World Crosser

Yamaha World CrosserYamaha's prototype Super Ténéré Worldcrosser is fully-equipped with an exclusive range of lightweight chassis components. This Yamaha concept model is the Super Ténéré everybody wants. Much of the plastics have been replaced with carbon-fibre and gold-coloured detail parts. This XT1200Z also features Ohlins suspension, flight deck navigation gear, Akrapovic exhaust, auxiliary rear fuel tank and tool pouch. Unfortunately the Yamaha Worldcrosser is a concept bike only and will not go into production. Let's hope they change their mind.

Triumph Tiger 800 XC

Triumph has made a surprise attack on BMW's F800 GS with the impending launch of an all-new Tiger 800. There will be two models on offer: the Tiger 800 and Tiger 800 XC. Both bikes will be powered by Triumph's potent triple-cylinder engine, with the 800 running alloy wheels with a 19-inch wheel up front, while the 800 XC scores spoked wheels with a more off-road ready 21-incher at the front. USD forks are fitted to both models, mated with trellis-design tubular frames. We'll be testing the new Tiger early in the new year.
